Ellen Svenningsen

Ellen Svenningsen makes furniture and objects with origins in traditional craftsmanship combined with sculptural expression. Her fascination with wood, its warmth and tactile qualities drives her journey within this craft. Her aim is to shape each work with its own unique purpose and presence, whether a functional piece such as a cabinet or a purely sculptural work.

All works are made from start to finish in her workshop in Limehouse, London, using solely recycled or ecologically sourced timber and natural finishes.
