This entirely handcrafted three-drawer bedside chest is made in England from the finest English quarter-sawn oak, combining refined contemporary design with authentic traditional cabinetmaking techniques. Substantial in presence yet carefully detailed, the piece reflects a balance of Scandinavian inspired restraint and classic English craftsmanship.
The main cabinet is defined by crisp geometry and precise exposed hand-cut dovetail joinery, clearly expressing the construction and strength of the piece. Within, three spacious drawers are each individually built using time honoured hand-cut dovetail jointing methods throughout, ensuring long-term durability and a consistently high level of craftsmanship in every detail.
A subtle shadow rebate separates the upper box from its base, introducing a sense of lightness and visual lift to the structure. This is complemented by a soft chamfered curve detail carefully cut around the legs and carried through the fascia, adding a quiet flow to the otherwise sharp architectural form.
The rear of the cabinet is traditionally panelled in matching English oak, ensuring the piece retains its visual integrity and presence from every angle.
Each piece is designed and genuinely handmade by our highly experienced craftspeople in England and finished in a durable protective eco-friendly oil that enhances the natural depth, tone, and medullary figuring of the quarter-sawn oak.
