Our handcrafted Architectural Ziggurat Table is a distinctive piece of fine furniture that combines strong geometric form with exceptional craftsmanship. Designed and handmade in England using traditional furniture-making techniques, it draws inspiration from early European Modernist Art Deco and the architectural stepped forms of ancient Mesopotamia.

The design is defined by its offset stepped oak legs, creating a striking interplay of angles, shadows, and perspectives that reveal new details from every viewpoint. A lower shelf provides practical storage and display space, while the tabletop showcases a carefully composed combination of quarter-sawn English oak, characterful pippy oak, and a finely inlaid brass accent strip.

The brass detailing is optional and may be omitted for those who prefer a cleaner, uninterrupted all oak aesthetic. Crafted from sustainably sourced, select English oak, the table celebrates the natural beauty of the timber, with the quarter-sawn surfaces displaying the distinctive medullary ray figure for which the finest oak is prized.

This versatile design can be used as a nightstand, end table, or side table, and can also be commissioned to bespoke dimensions as a coffee table, sofa table, or console table. It is also available in solid American black walnut.

This particular example has been finished in highly durable Osmo Raw, which imparts an exceptionally subtle limed effect while preserving the natural appearance of the oak. The finish leaves a beautifully smooth, silk-like surface to the touch. Alternative finishes are available upon request, including Pure, Satin, and Matte options to suit individual preferences and interiors.

Substantial in both construction and presence, this is a piece designed to endure. Every table is genuinely handcrafted by our highly skilled craftspeople in England, using traditional methods and meticulous attention to detail. Built from the finest materials and created without compromise, it is furniture intended to serve and be admired for generations.

Custom dimensions and specifications are available upon request.
