The handcrafted Leather Sling lounge chair is a refined, striking piece of contemporary seating, designed and made entirely by hand in England. Combining sculptural timber work with traditional saddle leather craftsmanship, the chair balances comfort, elegance and construction in a form that is both timeless and distinctive.
The frame is constructed from selected solid English white ash, chosen for its strength, durability and beautifully pale character. Prime American black walnut is also available as an alternative.
Gentle flowing curves, softened edges and open spaces within the frame allow the thick hand-cut English bridle leather seat and back to pass smoothly through and around the structure, creating a suspended sling form that matures and patinates naturally over time with use.
The custom made bridle leather is secured using solid brass fixings, adding both visual warmth and long-term durability while complementing the natural richness of the materials. The combination of tactile leather, solid timber, and subtle detailing gives the chair a calm architectural presence from every angle.
Influenced by both Japanese design principles and European mid-20th-century furniture, the chair brings together restraint, craftsmanship, and sculptural simplicity.
Each chair is genuinely handcrafted in England in very small numbers by our skilled craftsman, ensuring exceptional attention to detail and preserving the subtle individuality that only true handmade furniture possesses.
