SOLD. An exquisite and unique commissioned Danish chest of drawers with obvious Chinese aesthetic influence. Dating from the late 1930’s. Black lacquered framework with polished birch drawer fronts and solid brass fittings. Black glass inset top surface. Each baize lined drawer has an internal sliding inner drawer - all constructed from solid European oak with hand-cut dovetail joints. Lockable top drawers with original key. Extremely well made Art Deco verging on Scandinavian Modern. A highly unusual piece.
